The Homecoming Award, established in 1994, is presented every other year to writers originally from the south and southwest who have distinguished the region through their writing. Writers who receive this special recognition are selected by the Center's advisory board.

The Ambassador Award

The Ambassador Award is also presented every other year. First established in 1998, the award honors writers from across the world whose works reach beyond boundaries. The Center's advisory board chooses the writers who are named Center ambassadors.

The Center is proud to announce that Kathryn Stockett, bestselling author of The Help, will be accepting our Homecoming Award in the spring of 2014.  She will also be our Spring 2014 Tulsa Reads author.  More details to come.
