The Homecoming Award, established in 1994, is presented to writers originally from the south and southwest who have distinguished the region through their writing. Writers who receive this special recognition are selected by the Center's advisory board.

The Ambassador Award

The Ambassador Award, first established in 1998, honors writers from around the world whose works reach beyond boundaries to address universal themes. The Center's advisory board chooses the authors who are designated Center ambassadors.

The Center is proud to announce that Neil Gaiman, bestselling author of Ocean at the End of the Lane,  will be accepting our Ambassador Award in the Spring of 2015.  He will also be our Spring 2015 Tulsa Reads author.  More details to come.
