The Homecoming Award is presented every other fall at a special "Night to Pay Tribute" during the Celebration of Books. The Homecoming Award is an honor reserved for writers originally from the south and southwest who have distinguished the region through their writing. Writers who receive this special recognition are selected by the Center's advisory board. |
The Ambassador award is also presented every other fall at the Center's Celebration of Books. First established in 1998, the award honors writers from across the world whose works reach beyond boundaries. The Center's advisory board chooses the writers who are named Center ambassadors. |
